How can I take a tour if I'm not here at Christmas or in the Spring?

Visit the Decatur Convention and Visitors' Bureau at 719 Sixth Avenue, SE (map), where you can pick up a self-guided Walking Tour guide of both Albany and Decatur's other historic neighborhood, Old Decatur. Some tours are also available online for download or printing.

Tour the Neighborhood

Albany participates in two annual tours of Decatur's historic neighborhoods: the Christmas Tour of Homes and the Spring Garden Tour. Both are fabulous. You should mark your calendars and make them an annual event. Check out our latest newsletter to see what's going on in the neighborhood.

Every December, residents of Albany and Old Decatur open their doors to share this living link with history with the community. Be sure to visit our Historic Decatur Christmas Tour web site. Gardens, gardens, gardens! While the Christmas Tour of Homes displays the architecture of our houses, the Spring Garden Tour focuses on the lush green spaces around them. Check out the map for our 2013 Historic Albany Garden Tour.

The tours aren't the only thing going on in Albany. All neighbors are invited to attend the Albany Executive meeting held the third Tuesday of each month. There are seasonal activities throughout the year. Other events include neighborhood socials and community forums.
